Sauvignon Blanc is one of the finest white grape varieties, originating from the Bordeaux region of France, but now grown around the world. Sancerre is produced from Sauvignon Blanc in the Loire region of France, and is used in volume in New Zealand, for the very popular white wines of Marlborough.
